Conceptual character portraits
Background
For this project, I was asked to take two conceptual character portraits with the use of a studio lighting setup, based on the photography skills we have learned throughout this course. We are supposed to take one close-up portrait and one zoomed-out portait photograph, with either the same theme or two different ones.
This series of photographs explores the theme of fatigue/exhaustion through two different narratives. With cool blue, green and white lights, both scenes are wrapped in a moody atmosphere that enhances the feeling of wear and tear - physical, mental and emotional. Both photographs showcases the feeling of "keep going", even when the body and mind is exhausted and affected by everything one has been through.

Final girl
The concept for this photo was the final girl in horror movies. The one who looses all her friends, her family, everything she has. The one who's beaten, tortured and hunted all night. The one that decides to fight back, and put an end to the horror. The one that survives.
The photo is a girl who is exhausted after what has happened, and decides to take a very deserved "self-care" day with a sigarette in hand, while getting rid of the night that just happened.

Last call
The concept for this photo was the regular worker after a night shift at the bar. Spending every saturday night at work, being around drunk, loud, and "crazy" people for eight hours straight, and not getting home until sunrise.
The photo is a girl who sits outside after her shift, taking a breather, enjoying the silence of the night, before heading home.
